Ivy style originated on the East Coast of the United States in the 1950s and developed uniquely in Japan in the 1960s, when King Seiko was born. The dial color is saxe blue, the symbolic color of the oxford-cloth shirts that colored the preppy look. The Lumibrite on the hour and minute hands is white for a color scheme that is at once graceful and fresh.

The metal bracelet features a simple double-lever system, allowing it to be easily attached and removed without the use of tools. Combining the bracelet with leather straps (sold separately) greatly expands the range of coordination.

Running on the mechanical Caliber 6R51, the watch has a power reserve of three days. Fully wound, the watch can be removed on a Friday and worn the following Monday without any need for winding.
